Archdiocese of Bogota publishes prayer for the health of Pope Francis

Pope Francis' health has kept millions of Catholics around the world in suspense. The pontiff has been hospitalized for 12 days, during which time he has remained in critical condition.
Outside the Gemelli medical centre in Rome, where the Pope is staying, hundreds of faithful gather to pray for his health. The most recent medical report, shared by the Vatican press office on Tuesday, February 25, indicates that he rested well all night, after it was reported that he had experienced a "slight improvement" and that the kidney failure that had been detected in him "is not worrying."
Pope Francis, 88, has suffered serious complications from bronchitis and pneumonia, as well as kidney failure and thrombocytopenia, a low level of platelets in the blood, due to anemia detected in his tests.

Doctors have preferred to keep the prognosis reserved and, despite the complexity of his illness, it has emerged that the pontiff has resumed his activities since Monday, February 24, and that he received the Holy Eucharist and continued with his work in the afternoon.
To join in praying for the recovery of the Supreme Pontiff, the Archdiocese of Bogotá shared a brief prayer on its social media account X.
"Colombia prays for the health of Pope Francis. United in prayer for our Holy Father, that God grant him strength and health. Let us pray together for his well-being and for his mission to guide the Church with love and wisdom," says the comment accompanying the post.
