Rescuers find two abandoned puppies being cared for by a male dog.

A heartwarming story involving a pair of abandoned puppies came to light in recent days thanks to a pair of rescuers who witnessed a very unusual occurrence among canines.
The incident occurred on the island of Saipan , a U.S. territory located in the Indian Ocean, east of the Philippines.
According to Aria Keilbach, co-founder of the dog rescue organization Boonie Babies, who told the specialized media 'The Dodo', they received a call alerting them of the presence of some abandoned animals in an uninhabited shopping center, so she and another rescuer went to the place to verify the situation.

After arriving at the site, they followed the howls of the animals until they found two cubs accompanied by an adult animal , whom they initially assumed was their mother. However, upon getting closer, they realized it was a male, whom they named Kai, who was protecting the two young.
The rescuers proceeded to take the puppies in order to provide them with the necessary care, but they did not count on the fact that the male would begin to show distress and insistently follow them to get the puppies back.
Keilbach said such behavior is very unusual among dogs, since protective behavior is always associated with females, especially when they are the mothers of young.
This behavior is even more surprising because it could not be established whether Kai was the father of the puppies and the attachment he showed for them was too strong.
After removing them from the mall, the rescuers placed the puppies in a cage inside their vehicle, but Kai remained restless outside, keeping an eye on his puppies.
After several minutes of trying to get her to come with them, the male decided to get into the car to be near the cubs, and the three ended up together in the care of the organization.
Finally, Keilbach said that the three animals now share a safer space and remain as united as the day they were found.
