Spotify increases prices in Mexico; this is the cost of a subscription.

Spotify announced a price increase for its subscription plans in Mexico and other regions around the world, including Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, and the Pacific.
The streaming platform notified its users via email, explaining that the increase is due to its goal of "continuing to innovate in the offering of products and features" to improve the subscriber experience.
According to the official notification, the adjustment applies to all plans:
- Premium Individual : $129 to $139 per month.
- Student Plan : from $69 to $74 per month.
- Duo Plan : from $169 to $189 per month.
- Family Plan : from $199 to $239 per month.
This increase represents a rise of between 5 and 40 pesos, depending on the chosen option.

Following this announcement, several users began to wonder whether it's worth maintaining their subscription or switching to a cheaper streaming service.
In Mexico, Spotify's main competitors are Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, YouTube Music, Deezer, and Tidal.
- Amazon Music Unlimited offers the cheapest plan for Amazon Prime members, costing $99 per month .
- If you don't have Prime, the service costs $129, the same price as Apple Music and YouTube Music .
- Deezer maintains its plan at $115 per month , while Spotify and Tidal HiFi are among the most expensive, at $139 per month .
