Chivas overturned a three-goal deficit to draw 3-3 against Tijuana, with their best 15 minutes of play since Argentine Gabriel Milito took over as coach.
In an uphill match, and with errors capitalized on by Gilberto Mora (5 and 64), and the Cameroonian Frank Boya (51) in Raúl Rangel's goal, the Rebaño produced one of the great reactions in six rounds of the Liga Mx by equalizing the score at the Caliente stadium in less than a quarter of an hour.
Armando González (74), Efraín Álvarez (84) and Roberto Alvarado (90+6), the latter with a left-footed shot into the corner of goalkeeper José Antonio Rodríguez, avoided the third consecutive defeat of the red and white team, who earned a point that placed them in the third to last place in the standings.
The border team, who had victory almost in the bag, left the field amidst whistles and protests from their fans, after squandering a 3-0 lead.
Santos has gone 23 games without a win as a visitor.
In Ciudad Juárez, Santos fell just two minutes short of winning on the road after 23 matches.
The Warriors were winning with a goal from Cristian Dájome (11) at the Benito Juárez Olympic Stadium, but when injury time arrived, after a couple of plays from Ángel Zaldívar (90) and Denzell García (90+2), they were beaten 2-1 with a comeback included.
Their most recent away win was on March 1, 2024, when they defeated Querétaro 1-0 at the Corregidora. Since then, the Laguna team's streak of losses and draws has extended into this tournament, in which they have recorded four consecutive losses.
Dájome opened the scoring on a counterattack down the right flank, while Zaldívar and García responded in kind near the final whistle to give the border team its second win of the season.
At the same time, but in the city of Querétaro, Gallos defeated Atlético San Luis 3-2 and moved out of last place in the standings.
