Business Life. Quality of Life at Work: A Week to Get Back to Basics

Quality of life at work has been discussed for years. The French National Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions (ANACT) organized it for the first time 21 years ago... in 2004, and has addressed the themes of health and safety at work, skills development, and various management levers. This year, the national agency wants to put the fundamental principles of a fulfilling and satisfying professional life back at the heart of QWLW (Quality of Life and Working Conditions) Week. "The environment, working conditions, and the right balance between private and professional life are all integral parts of quality of life at work, but so is the meaning of work and the collective," states ANACT management.
The aim is to encourage both private and public companies to implement an organization that allows all employees to engage on a societal or environmental level: the possibility of acting against discrimination, to limit the company's environmental impact, etc. A sense of work that must also be found internally with "the sharing of strategic orientations and challenges," indicates Anact in its presentation of the 2025 QVCT week. The development of employee skills, as well as regular training for managers, are also part of Anact's recommendations.
This year, Quality of Life at Work Week will be coming to offices, all offices... and not just to the coffee machine.
