Fère-en-Tardenois (02): the rural commune of 2,900 inhabitants is overwhelmed by fast-food restaurants such as kebabs, pizzas, etc.; the mayor issues a municipal decree. "This may be rejected, but I want to make my frustration heard."

" The elected official's message is clear; he wants to make a point and raise awareness that today, the town... and not only... is saturated with fast food restaurants. Jean-Paul Roseleux points out that " those that already exist are in place and that's how it is, but we're fed up, we're not credible for consumers. We're happy that a real restaurant, worthy of the name, has recently opened in the city center , we need more ." Excluding the Château de Fère-en-Tardenois which caters to a rather "upscale" clientele, in fact, only " Le Local ", located at 15 rue Carnot, offers "homemade food."
A decree which must therefore still be validated by the prefecture even if, according to the mayor, " it has a greater chance of being rejected ", it will at least have allowed his discontent to be heard. (...)
