Any method of canvassing the inhabitants of Périgord is a good one for criminals. For some time now, fake canvassers have been visiting the Dordogne municipalities, posing as SPA agents, "when in fact they are intruders," the SPA denounced in a press release. "Please be aware that official SPA investigators hold, as such, an investigator card endorsed by the SPA. It will always be shown to you, or failing that, ask to see it."
