Around 8 p.m. Friday evening, a 13-year-old girl, who was walking on rue du 19-Mars-1962, behind the church in Lessard-en-Bresse, was hit by a motorist.

Firefighters from Simard and Louhans, as well as the Smur from Chalon-sur-Saône, quickly arrived on the scene and took charge of the teenager.

Seriously injured and considered to be in critical condition, she was airlifted to the Dijon University Hospital at around 9:15 p.m.

The 19-year-old driver was not injured. She was questioned by the Saint-Germain-du-Plain police in the evening.
