Squid Game, La Casa de Papel, Bridgerton... Netflix opens a restaurant inspired by its cult series in Las Vegas

Unique creations, linked to the productions, are offered to customers who can thus immerse themselves in the different universes of the American platform.
A " Casa de Papel " cocktail, a " Bridgerton " tea service or even " Squid Game " fried chicken... Fans of these series from the American giant Netflix now have the opportunity to taste unique creations in the new restaurant of the American platform, "Netflix Bites Vegas", opened last week at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. On the menu, original dishes and drinks, made around the group's flagship productions.
A bourbon cocktail, called "Mind Flayer," is offered for $24 in the colors of the series Stranger Things . Another, the "Casa del Sangria" , in reference to the Money Heist, features notes of mint and citrus and arrives on the table in a trunk. As for food, a "steak frites à l'esprit de Gigi" for $37 is listed on the menu, directly inspired by the series Emily in Paris . A platter of Japanese specialties including spicy tuna onigiris, the "Grand Line Showboat" , comes from the manga One Piece, for $65.
In addition to personalized food and drinks, customers are also offered "experiences." For example, thrill-seekers can spin a wheel to see what sauce will be on their fried chicken, surrounded by guards in the famous masks from the Squid Game series. Some dishes are also brought by The Thing, the iconic severed hand from the Wednesday series.
This is not the first time that Netflix has opened a location based on this concept: a pop-up store had already opened in 2023, in Los Angeles. The platform then offered an "all star" menu, designed by eight chefs seen in its programs. These different openings are fully in line with Netflix's strategy, which is planning to launch "Netflix House" with several immersive spaces in Dallas and Philadelphia, later this year.
These immersive experiences linked to the series are a hit with customers, to the great delight of the establishments, which also gain some visibility on social networks. In the 17th arrondissement of Paris, for example, the Anona restaurant offered a pop-up menu from November 12 to 29, 2024, in connection with Emily in Paris. For 65 euros, it was possible to enjoy a flower tart, accompanied by light brillat-savarin cream and green tomato confit or the actress's famous beret for dessert with vanilla cream, apple confit, salted butter caramel and hazelnut shortbread.
Last year, Ladurée also partnered with Netflix and the production company Shondaland, for the third season of Bridgerton, for a tailor-made tea party in its Champs-Élysées boutique. Sweet and savory creations, macarons, and a drink were offered for 80 euros each. Similarly, in 2021, during the launch of the first season of Squid Game, restaurants and pastry shops sold replicas of "dalgona" cookies. In one episode of the series, the actors had to make a shape in the cookie, a star for example, without breaking it, at the risk of being killed. The One & One restaurant, in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, instead offered a menu if its customers managed to cut out the shape of the cake.
