Türkiye: Two Dutch teenagers die after eating in Istanbul's Taksim district

Two young tourists, aged 15 and 17, died Saturday morning in Istanbul. They had eaten in the Taksim district the day before, unlike their father, who had eaten nothing and is healthy.
The circumstances remain unclear. Two Dutch teenagers were found dead in their Istanbul hotel while staying with their father, Turkish media reported Saturday, seemingly blaming the meal the two young people had.
According to the private television channel NTV, the two boys, aged 15 and 17, were dead when police and emergency services arrived, alerted by the hotel where they were staying in the Fatih district. They had gone to the central tourist district of Taksim on Friday for dinner.

NTV reports that the 57-year-old father was taken to hospital in a state of shock but, unlike his sons, whom he had accompanied, had not eaten the day before.
NTV quotes a hotel employee, Mehmet Kırdag, as hearing the father call for help. "He was calling for his children. When I knocked on the door and entered, both sons were dead, one in bed, the other on the floor (...)."
