When one of the students from the La Ciotat studio ( Bouches-du-Rhône ) performs a song or plays music, we do not call on a stunt double. (Almost) all the actors have multidisciplinary training.
"What's cool and very rare - I don't think it's ever been done in French fiction - is that we all sing live. It's not lip-syncing," repeats Joy Esther, aka Victoria, the heroine of the series who had a whirlwind career in the music industry 20 years earlier and returns to the studio run by her mother.
