WE WERE THERE - An explosion of discoveries in this third edition, which places artists at the heart of the ancient city's historical heritage. Here's our selection of five must-see stops, available until May 11.

The Arles Drawing Festival is a museum project in a city where art has created its world, combining a beautiful historical heritage and contemporary creation. For its 3rd edition, this festival created by the discreet patron and valiant publisher Vera Michalski (its president) and Frédéric Pajak , a bubbling writer, designer and publisher (its artistic director) have spread 42 exhibitions in the ancient city which have in common only their level of requirement and their quality. This meeting of amateurs is in full swing. Just a short month, to make way after May 11 for the installation of the Rencontres d'Arles which will be held from July 7 to October 5.

The range is wide and appeals to all audiences, as the line is a world in itself, vibrant and ultra-sensitive, for each of the artists. At the Réattu Museum, "Two Centuries of Japanese Prints," from the Prints and Photography Department of the BnF, highlight the virtuosity of these 18th-century wood engravers...
