On the front lines, the Russian army continues to gain ground, while diplomatic efforts continue to try to find a solution to the conflict.
The Russian army claimed on Monday the capture of a new town in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a territory in central-eastern Ukraine where it first entered in July.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry's daily report, its troops captured the village of Zaporizké, located about 20 kilometers west of the town of Velyka Novosylka, which has been under Russian control since January.
