The list is growing: after Volkswagen , Peugeot and Citroën , a new manufacturer is implicated in Dieselgate . And it is once again French: on June 25, the Paris prosecutor's office requested a third trial for "aggravated deception" against the manufacturer Renault, a source close to the case announced on Friday, July 11, in the context of this automobile scandal that began in 2015.

The diamond brand is suspected of having "specially calibrated" Euro 5 and Euro 6 standard vehicles marketed between 2009 and 2017 so that they met regulatory parameters during homologation tests but not in normal conditions, according to the prosecution's requisitions.

The Dieselgate scandal began in 2015, after revelations emerged that the Volkswagen carmaker had used cheating software to allow its vehicles to pass laboratory emissions tests.
