EDF: the four projects of the new CEO Bernard Fontana

EDF's new CEO took office on Tuesday, May 6. He has many projects on his plate, including signing new contracts with industrial customers and restarting nuclear production. The company is heavily indebted and must work with the government to find a way to finance its new reactors.
With the formalities completed, Bernard Fontana can officially take the helm of EDF. Proposed by the President of the Republic on March 21st to replace Luc Rémont, whose term was not renewed, his appointment as CEO was approved by Parliament on April 30th and ratified by the general meeting held on May 5th. At 64 years old, Bernard Fontana could remain in his position until spring 2029.
