France, shunned by Ryanair . The Irish airline announced at the end of July that it was reducing its operations in France by 13%. This decision, which was not a coincidence and which comes following the tripling of the solidarity tax (TSBA) on airline tickets applied in the 2025 budget, increased to 7.4 euros compared to 2.63 euros previously for domestic flights or to Europe. The low-cost airline, which serves 25 French airports, will thus abandon three of them (Strasbourg, Brive, Bergerac). In addition, the company's capacity will be reduced by 9% at Marseille, 8% at Paris-Beauvais, and 4% at Toulouse. "This loss of connectivity, which is entirely avoidable, will be disastrous for French regional connectivity, employment, and tourism," the company announced.
