Quetigny. A new blood drive organized on August 14

Like Jean-Marie Raynal, who received a certificate for his commitment at the last general meeting of the Association for Voluntary Blood Donation in Quetigny, everyone can contribute to supplying the French Blood Establishment and thus saving lives. If you are in good health, between 18 and 70 years old, and weigh more than 50 kg, there is a good chance that you can participate in the next blood drive, which will take place on Thursday, August 14, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Espace Mendès-France on Rue des Vergers. To make your visit more enjoyable, the volunteers of the Association for Voluntary Blood Donation will be brimming with imagination.
Making an appointment is always recommended to facilitate the arrival of donors.
Iron deficiency is the main cause of contraindications to blood donation. Iron is naturally present in foods of animal origin: meat, offal, egg yolks, sardines, herring, mussels, oysters, among others. But it is also found in plant-based foods such as nuts, walnuts or almonds, legumes, lentils or soybeans, or even green vegetables, peas or artichokes. And even if you are not deficient, consuming iron-rich foods when donating blood is highly recommended. The next blood drive in Quetigny is scheduled for Thursday, October 16.
