The head of state had said he was in favour of active assistance in dying, following in the footsteps of the Citizens' Convention.
Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday, May 13, on the TF1 channel that a referendum on end-of-life "could be a way forward" in the event of a "stalemated" situation in Parliament.
This "may be a way to unblock" the issue, the head of state further explained. The head of state had expressed his support for assisted dying, following in the footsteps of the Citizens' Convention.
