This is a virtuous development. This Tuesday in the hemicycle of the National Assembly, in a modest but explicit manner, the former Minister of Health Aurélien Rousseau, a man in the prime of life since he is 48 years old, admitted to having cancer . Not so common, this exercise in transparency is welcome. Now an MP elected under the banner of the New Popular Front, the former chief of staff of Elisabeth Borne, who admitted to having hesitated before taking the plunge, rightly asserted that this private subject also constitutes a political issue while 4 million French people are living with a cancer diagnosis and that their number will only increase in the years to come. This obviously raises investment issues in the fight against this disease and in prevention policies, but it must invite us to question society's view of patients.
