Football, Regional 1: Boulazac did not know how score and find yourself condemned

Held to a draw (0-0) by a leader who won their promotion play-off against Périgny, Boulazac finished eleventh and should go down to Regional 2, unless there is a repechage.
Victory was imperative for Étoile to stay up. But the task looked complicated against Cestas, who needed a point to play in the promotion play-off to National 3 against Périgny. Hence the presence of many Girondins supporters in the stands of the Lucien-Dutard stadium.
Spurred on by the crowd, Cestas got into the game more strongly. In the 4th minute, Rémi Bost had to intervene at the feet of Léo Gleyse. The home defense seemed tense in the face of the Cestadais' well-oiled team play. The ESB goal was therefore in danger for the entire first quarter of an hour. But without any damage.
A big opportunity in BoulazacAnd the home side came out of their shells. Julien Raynaud delivered a good ball to his full-back Avetik Davtian, who was unable to finish off Valentin Churlaud (21st). The Stellistes had their best chance shortly after, following a Raynaud free-kick headed in by Valentin Delanys. It grazed the base of the post (22nd).
Opportunities then became few and far between, despite the pace, commitment, and technical prowess of both teams. And the second half began at the same pace. Cestas created two dangerous opportunities, but Boulazac immediately responded with two fine strikes. However, following a direct corner from the visitors, Antony Clément had to deputize for his goalkeeper on the line (80th minute).
Cestas was then content with this result. Until a poor clearance allowed the Girondins attackers to present themselves in front of Rémi Bost. Léo Gleyse fixed him and passed to Alexis Moreau who, five meters from the goal, shot wide (90th + 5). Cestas ultimately had no reason to regret it, much to the chagrin of the Boulazacois.
Meanwhile, the Trélissac reserve team, second from last and already relegated, finished in the bottom position. Beaten 3-1, they missed the opportunity to move up a place in the standings, for their own honor.
