Thunderbolt in the world of volleyball: the two Cannes clubs relegated to the Federal League

The decision was made following a review of the case by the CACCP (Commission for the Assistance and Control of Professional Clubs). It wasn't a complete surprise, as explained in a joint official statement from the Cannes clubs.
"This decision comes in a particular context marked by the creation of a joint venture between the two clubs aimed at pooling certain resources to strengthen the development of volleyball in Cannes... This administrative arrangement has led to more complex processing of our files by the CACCP."
Nothing definitive for either club, of course, but it's a bit of a shock for the fans and management, who have already reacted to this decision.
A review of the files is expected"The requested information has been submitted and the files are now complete. Each club will file an official appeal, after which the DNACG will review the situation."
So there's no need to panic at the Palais des Victoires, which will have to wait a little while to catch its breath and prepare for its season at the highest French level. Confirmation from president Amaury Delbart: "We received the decision on Friday and we have seven days to appeal. We were able to gather the final necessary documents on June 3 and 4 to send them to the Commission. I'm quite confident about what's next. We'll then await a new summons. But I have no worries."
