Dordogne: numerous visits and activities around the mills of the Pays de Fénelon

From Tuesday 17 to Sunday 29 June, Carsac-Aillac is highlighting the local milling heritage through a series of events, exhibitions and visits
From Tuesday 17 to Sunday 29 June, the cultural service of the commune of Carsac-Aillac (Dordogne) invites you to discover the world of mills through a series of events organized in collaboration with the 7 Aprèm association, the Périgord Association of Friends of Mills (Apam) and the Association of Mills of the Black Périgord (AMPN).
Mill Week will offer activities and exciting opportunities for discovery and sharing around milling heritage, for all ages. Exhibitions of models and paintings, creative workshops, guided hikes, mill tours... There are plenty of opportunities to discover or rediscover the richness of local milling.
Visits and baby readersThe program for Mill Week in the Pays de Fénelon promises to be rich and varied. This Tuesday, the 17th, at the Carsac-Aillac Municipal Council Chamber, the opening of an exhibition created by students from schools in the Pays de Fénelon and Sarladais regions will take place. On this occasion, the media library will donate books to enrich the special mills collection.
On Wednesday, the 18th, a workshop on making mobiles from recycled materials will be held in the wedding hall from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. From 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., APAM will lead a tour of the exhibits.
On Saturday 21st, starting at 8 a.m., Borrèze will host the La Borrézienne event. As part of this event, members of APAM and the municipality will invite the public to freely explore a dozen mills and hike along nature trails, free of charge. On Wednesday 25th, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., a baby readers workshop is planned at the Carsac-Aillac Municipal Council Chamber, focusing on the theme "Water for My Mill." On Friday 27th, the Hors Scène troupe will present free dramatized readings at the Séchoir d'Aillac.
Finally, on Saturday 28th, at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday 29th, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Moulin-Neuf, there will be guided tours on the history of these places (free, registration required at 05 53 31 52 00).
