Between drugs, robberies, street bullying and weapons: 27 young people arrested in Milan

A large-scale judicial police operation has been concluded, coordinated by the SCO (Central Operations Service of the State Police) in the provinces of Alessandria, Ancona, Arezzo, Bari, Bergamo, Biella, Bologna, Caltanissetta, Campobasso, Caserta, Catania, Chieti, Cremona, Fermo, Florence, Forlì Cesena, Frosinone, Genoa, Imperia, L'Aquila, Latina, Lecco, Lucca, Messina, Milan, Naples, Novara, Oristano, Palermo, Perugia, Pesaro Urbino, Piacenza, Pisa, Prato, Rome, Reggio Calabria, Reggio Emilia, Rovigo, Teramo, Turin, Treviso, Verbano Cusio Ossola and Verona, aimed at combating juvenile crime and related phenomena of deviance and hardship that have led to serious crimes committed by individuals or small groups in recent months.

Under the Madonnina, 27 people were arrested and a further 25 were investigated at liberty for crimes that include the possession of cutting weapons, firearms and drugs , robberies, thefts, abusive use of credit cards, resistance and violation of immigration regulations.
During the numerous searches of homes and businesses, a modified sawed-off shotgun, two working pistols, a blank pistol, various types of ammunition, box cutters and knives, almost a kilo of cocaine, over seven kilos of cannabinoids, half a kilo of cutting agent, a few grams of synthetic drugs, shaboo, ecstasy, Mdpv and over 50 thousand euros were seized. A total of 1,889 people, both Italian and foreign, and 190 vehicles were checked.
The activity in Milan - the police headquarters reports - was carried out by the agents of the Flying Squad, in collaboration with the police officers of the Railway Police Department for Lombardy, the Crime Prevention Department for Lombardy and the Milanese Police Stations, in the areas of the city center (Porta Garibaldi, Gae Aulenti, Duomo, Navigli, Buenos Aires, Porta Venezia, City Life, Central Station) and the suburbs (Greco Turro, Niguarda, San Siro, Bonola, Porta Romana, Ticinese, Porta Genova, Lambrate) where a high number of criminal episodes attributable to the phenomenon of street gangs were recorded. The prevention and repression activity of the same crimes was also carried out in some provincial municipalities such as Cinisello Balsamo, Rho, Legnano, Rozzano and Novate Milanese.
