Eleven years and nine months. This is the sentence handed down – in the first instance by the Pordenone court – to entrepreneur Marco Paolo Filippin, 62 years old, from Artegna, known among other things for having participated in the program “Uomini e Donne”, accused of contractual fraud and fraudulent and documentary bankruptcy. Filippin's lawyer, Lorenzo Magnarelli, is considering an appeal. The panel, presided over by Judge Eugenio Pergola, recognized Filippin for 41 of the 58 scams reported by buyers. The entrepreneur, according to the Prosecutor's Office represented by prosecutor Federico Baldo, had promised to sell furniture at advantageous prices. He had made people believe that his company - Fabbriche riunite srl - was a solid commercial reality, in truth he was no longer able to purchase the goods and therefore resell them. The damage suffered by customers, who orbit between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, is around 449 thousand euros. Also on trial with Filippin is Paola Francovich, who managed the company from December 9, 2015 to January 16, 2019. She was sentenced to 2 years, suspended, for fraudulent bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy of Fabbriche riunite dates back to May 17, 2019.
