Lazio: €15 million in digital vouchers for SMEs starting September 25th

The Lazio Region has presented a public notice for Vouchers for the Digitalization of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), as part of the ERDF Lazio Program 2021–2027. The initiative, which provides €15 million in non-repayable grants, aims to support projects by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lazio investing in digital technologies to increase efficiency and competitiveness. The grant is awarded for projects such as digital diagnostics, digital workplaces, e-commerce systems, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, with amounts varying based on the size of the company and the type of intervention, up to a maximum of €150,000 per project.

The call for proposals includes a selection process based on a ranking and declared scores. Applications can be submitted through the GeCoWEB Plus platform, managed by Lazio Innova, and the final grant will be paid upon submission of documentation certifying project completion, thus simplifying reporting. The new call for proposals will be published in the coming days in the BUR (Regional Official Bulletin) and represents an important opportunity for SMEs in Lazio to accelerate their digital transformation journey, in line with Europe's strategic objectives for competitiveness and innovation. The dates: the call for proposals will be published on Thursday, September 25th, and the application window will open on October 7th.

The call for proposals was presented by Roberta Angelilli , Vice President and Councilor for Economic Development, Trade, Crafts, Industry, and Internationalization of the Lazio Region. "The digitalization voucher is a successful tool we introduced in 2023, highly appreciated by businesses because it is now a structural measure, financially significant, and extremely simplified. For this very reason, we have increased the budget by €2 million. With this call for proposals, we want to offer businesses in Lazio the opportunity to increase efficiency, competitiveness, and innovation through digital transformation and consolidation," stated Roberta Angelilli.

"Over two years, we have allocated a total of €43 million for digitalization vouchers. An unprecedented amount. This is a strategic contribution, which we replicate annually , to the benefit of our region's productive fabric. It involves various aspects of the company's business, including process management, customer communication, data collection, analysis, and security, and online presence. This last point in particular is a highly topical issue to which we are strongly committed. This measure also facilitates access to new markets to reach a broader, more international audience," added Lazio Regional Vice President Angelilli.

"The continuity and quality of these tools," said Vittoria Carli , Vice President of Unindustria with responsibility for Digital Transition, "are essential for our small and medium-sized businesses, and constructive collaboration with the Region and Lazio Innova is key to making them increasingly effective and focused on delivering concrete results for businesses. It is appropriate for the Region to strengthen and ensure continuity in the lines of action funded and linked to the PNRR missions for innovation and digitalization. And in this process, it should leverage Confindustria's network of Digital Innovation Hubs, and in particular the Lazio DIH promoted by Unindustria, which represents a qualified point of reference for supporting businesses in their transformation processes."
