November 8th, from Simone Cristicchi to Alfa: today's concerts in Tuscany

Simone Cristicchi and Alfa
Florence, November 8, 2025 - A weekend of major concerts opens, a journey of notes and emotions that will span diverse soundscapes, from pop to classical. Beginning with an artist who inhabits music, poetry, and theater, Simone Cristicchi , who this evening at 9:00 pm at the Città del Teatro in Cascina will retrace the most significant moments of his career, from the debut of 'Fabbricante di canzoni', which established his talent, to the thematic depths of his latest concept album, 'Dalle tenebre alla luce'. Also this evening at 9:00 pm, Alfa will stop at the Modigliani Forum in Livorno on his arena tour, while the Teatro Moderno in Grosseto will host 'Soundtracks. Live Orchestra Concert, a journey through the music of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Nino Rota, and Alan Silvestri, featuring melodies from cult films like "The Godfather" and "Star Wars," from the main track of "The Avengers" to the romanticism of " Life is Beautiful ." In January 1975, Keith Jarrett created " The Koln Concert" from scratch, a legendary performance immortalized in what is now the best-selling piano solo album in the history of Western music. Tonight at 9 pm at the Teatro di Fiesole, pianist, improviser, and composer Cesare Picco will pay homage to that historic performance with "The Koln Concert Variations." And there will also be a classical music event. A timeless masterpiece like Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Op. 8, will be performed by the Solisti Aquilani at 4 pm today at the Teatro della Pergola. Violinist Daniele Orlando will perform as soloist. Regarding the program, he stated: "These Seasons exist in the desperate gap between the idea of Nature as it was given to us and the bitter vision of Nature as we have reduced it." This will not be a simple performance, but an environmentalist interpretation of the Seasons, transforming the work into a powerful sonic manifesto and reaffirming art's duty to convey a social message. The program also includes Concerto No. 1 for Violin and Strings by Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian. The soloist for this concert will be Italian-Armenian violinist Sonig Tchakerian, winner of the Paganini International Competition in Genoa, the ARD International Competition in Munich, and the Gui International Competition in Florence.
