Stoà, the future passes through here: the challenge of managerial training in the era of artificial intelligence

How are future leaders trained in a world crossed by artificial intelligence, geopolitical transformations and revolutions in organizational models? This question is answered by the event “Managerial Training and the Changing World” that took place today at Villa Campolieto, home of the Stoà Business School. This is a significant event in the panorama of higher education, organized by Stoà, which in 35 years of experience has seen 2700 active Master Alumni, 98% placements at 6 months and over 50,000 managers, executives, executives and professionals trained. The event opened by Paolo Scudieri, president of Stoà and Adler Group, and Enrico Cardillo, general manager of Stoà, was attended by leading figures from the academic, business and institutional world, including Matteo Lorito, rector of Federico II and Riccardo Macchioni, vice-rector of the Vanvitelli University, Tiziano Treu, labor lawyer, former president of Stoà, Cnel and Minister of Labor; Matilde Marandola, president of Aidp; Antonio Liotti, chief people & organization officer of Leonardo.

A special space was dedicated to the testimonies of Stoà Alumni, now at the top of national and international companies, including Alfonso De Gaetano (founder & ceo Crurated, formerly Google), Cristian Tarallo (Iveco Group); Rosario Pingaro (Convergenze); Francesco Manzo (Novartis).

During the event, the Manifesto for a new Management Education was presented, a synthesis of Stoà's educational vision: to train not only "knowers", but "learners", people capable of critical thinking, systemic vision, adaptability and strategic awareness. An educational model based on direct experience, field practice and development of dynamic mindsets, today more than ever essential to face the challenges of the platform economy, digital transformation and AI. “Companies that compete on global markets,” explained Paolo Scudieri, “need women and men capable of transforming complexity into direction and innovation into results. This is why, as Adler Group, we have chosen to be an active part of managerial training, supporting Stoà as a majority shareholder.” “Training managers does not mean transmitting notions, but offering context, challenges and a concrete industrial vision. Our masters are true laboratories for building the future, in which new technologies, organizational models and industrial sectors converge in action-oriented teaching,” he added. He then underlined the “need to build complementarity and connection between academic knowledge and the real needs of businesses.” "At Stoà, our Masters enable graduates to acquire leadership skills, as demonstrated by our Alumni who lead large companies and organizations in Italy and around the world," explained General Manager Enrico Cardillo. "Education at Stoà is aligned with the most current challenges: emerging technologies, the revolution of artificial intelligence, the transformation of business models in the economy of platforms and ecosystems. The Master in Business Management (MDGI), now in its XXX edition, created with the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, and the Master in Human Resources Management (HRM), now in its XXII edition, created with the patronage of AIDP (Italian Association for Personnel Management). Both Masters, and this is great news, are free to participate in by supporting a selection process thanks to funding from the Campania Region for Higher Education."

“At Leonardo,” said Antonio Liotti, “we believe that managerial training is not just a necessary investment, but a decisive lever to guide the inevitable transformations that await us. In a context marked by a profound technological, geopolitical and social transition, our commitment is to build, together with partners such as Stoa, the University and the Business School, a dynamic, integrated training ecosystem capable of generating real value for people and for the country. We want to go beyond traditional models to promote the co-creation of skills capable of tackling global challenges and intercepting the opportunities offered by technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. Training today means preparing to be protagonists of change, not simple spectators. This is why we focus on personalized, inclusive and transformative training experiences, capable of developing a culture of curiosity, lifelong learning and intergenerational collaboration. The most difficult thing, as Pericles recalled, is not to predict the future, but to prepare to live it. We, the future, want to build it.”

Two Masters, one vision: training those who will make the difference During the event, the two post-graduate high-level training courses starting in the 2025-2026 academic year were presented, both ASFOR accredited and free for 20 graduates residing in Campania, thanks to funding from the Campania Region:

● Master in Business Management and Direction (MDGI) – XXX edition. First level University Master's degree created in collaboration with the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, accredited by Asfor in General Management. Thematic focuses: generative AI, business platform, data analytics, sustainability, innovation management, employee experience.

For three decades one of the main centers of higher education in Italy Headquartered in Villa Campolieto, the Business School has built a solid network of collaborations with universities, public bodies and leading companies in the most technologically intensive sectors, such as aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals and advanced manufacturing, since 1988.
