International celebration in the waters of Torre del Greco, which for the first time in its history hosted the arrival of an open race of the Capri-Naples . In the Capri-Torre del Greco, which officially opened the program of events that will culminate with the 60th edition of the gulf marathon on September 6, Romania, Argentina and Egypt rejoice.

In the Men's Solo, the first to reach the finish line located in the waters in front of the Miramare lido, chosen by the organizing company, Eventualmente Eventi & Comunicazione by Luciano Cotena, in agreement with the municipal administration led by Mayor Luigi Mennella and the councilor with responsibility for sport Valentina Ascione , was Bodgan Zurbagiu , who completed the 28 kilometer crossing (starting from Marina Grande in Capri) in 7.21.03. The swimmer from Bucharest was satisfied: "I found a beautiful sea, of an intense blue color. The race went as well as it could have, only some difficulty with the current in the final part". Among the women, Ana Laura Szneck was first, who finished in 9.29.35, leveraging the cheering of her boat and Maradona's number 10 jersey (which she also wore on the podium).

Among the relays, victory for the Egyptians of Stroke Egypt, who completed the race in 6.28.12. The team explained at the finish line how the project includes the participation of disabled athletes, aiming to bring messages of peace around the world. Presiding over the final stages of the crossing and the awards ceremony was Mayor Luigi Mennella: “Once again, sport is a vehicle for promoting tourism. We are happy that the event speaks internationally and that everyone was struck by the beauty of our sea and our territories. This is how we aim to bring the name of Torre del Greco around the world”. Echoed by the councilor responsible for sport Valentina Ascione: “The Capri-Naples is a global brand and having hosted an open race in our city filled us with pride. After last year's sprint race, thanks to the availability of the organizers and the work of the municipal offices, this time we witnessed the arrival of an open race, with a view to work that enhances the territory and the seafront”. The testimonial of the event was the former water polo player and television personality known for his appearances in various reality shows, Amaurys Perez , who had fun commenting on the highlights of the crossing and the water polo challenge between the youth teams of Canottieri Napoli and Posillipo which ended with the victory of the first team. The organizer Luciano Cotena was tired but happy: "I thank the administration for the closeness shown and the other city authorities for the support received. In the year of its 60th edition, the Capri-Napoli welcomed with pleasure the arrival of a race close to Vesuvius, in a synergy with the Municipality of Torre del Greco that we hope can continue".
