International: baby patients Gemelli and Bambino Gesù with the champions
The values of solidarity and of inclusion conquer the field of the Bnl Internationals of Italy, on stage until tomorrow at the Foro Italico in Rome. A group of children being treated in the oncology departments of the A. Gemelli University Hospital and Pediatric Hospital Bambino Gesù accompanied the champions on the field during the sporting event thanks to a project promoted by the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and made possible thanks to the collaboration with the University Hospital Foundation Agostino Gemelli Irccs, the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital and the families of small patients. For the promoters, their presence, in the role of mascot exceptional, it was a symbol of strength, hope and sharing. "It was a moment of rare beauty, a symbolic embrace between the world of sport and that of care, which reminds us how much every gesture, even the simplest, can become a source of strength, inspiration and hope", observes Giorgio Meneschincheri of the Gemelli Polyclinic. Of "tribute to childhood, to resilience, the power of inclusion" speaks the director of the BNL International of Italy, Paolo Lorenzi in underlining that "Tennis today spoke the language of life."
