Arezzo, November 9, 2025 – The new party "ORA! - the courage of the obvious" was presented yesterday in Arezzo during a press conference in the Sala della Giostra del Saracino (pink room) of Palazzo dei Priori, located at Piazza della Libertà 1, Arezzo. The meeting discussed its creation, the values, and the goals of this new political project. Speakers included Leonardo Batini, member of the National Board of Directors, Sandro Degli Innocenti, Regional Coordinator for Tuscany, Jacopo Acquarelli, Provincial Representative for Arezzo, Marco Teci, member of the Regional Assembly, and Corinna Caldini, Communications and Website Management Team. During the conference, ORA!'s vision for a more productive, modern, and just Italy was outlined, founded on the principle of the "courage of the obvious": concrete proposals, free from ideologies, to make the country more attractive and competitive.
The event also provided an opportunity to present the Tuscan group's creation and launch its local activities. ORA! presents itself in Arezzo: "A new, pragmatic, and competent policy to give back a voice to the local communities." The first press conference was held in Arezzo to present ORA!, the new political party founded by Michele Boldrin and Alberto Forchielli, born from the experience of the Drin Drin association and officially announced on October 11th during the national congress in Abano Terme.
The meeting was attended by Leonardo Batini, member of the National Board of Directors, Sandro degli Innocenti, Tuscan regional coordinator, and Jacopo Acquarelli, city delegate. "Arezzo must become a region that nurtures its talents and attracts new ones, rather than forcing them to emigrate to be recognized. We will promote a change of pace through initiatives like the Urban Innovation Festival last September," stated Jacopo Acquarelli.
During the meeting, Leonardo Batini illustrated the birth and founding principles of the new party.
“ORA! was born from a spontaneous experiment: in a year, Drin Drin became a real political laboratory, where professionals, students, and citizens worked together to build a program based on expertise and pragmatism. There are no right-wing or left-wing proposals: there are proposals that work and proposals that don't,” explained Batini. “Our method starts with data but returns to the people. We want to bring facts back to the center of Italian political discourse, replacing propaganda with concrete solutions.” At the Tuscan level, ORA! already has over 800 active members , committed to building a widespread network throughout the region. “We are moving beyond the model of opinion parties, building a presence based on listening and participation,” said Sandro degli Innocenti.
"Today we will be present in the squares of all Tuscan provinces, with 16 demonstrations and four press conferences, to meet with citizens and explain our project. This is just the beginning of a mobilization that will grow month after month." The next major regional event will be on November 14th in Prato, dedicated to the topic of cronyism and corruption in public administration. The Arezzo event is part of the national initiative to present ORA!, which will be held in hundreds of cities across Italy this weekend. The meeting became a real two-hour discussion with citizens. "We are very satisfied," commented Sandro degl'Innocenti. "Direct contact with citizens is the lifeblood of a project like ours, which starts from the bottom and thrives on participation."
