Tuscany to vote on October 12, only the formalization is missing

Florence, July 5, 2025 – Tuscany will go to the polls for the Region on October 12, 2025, as President Eugenio Giani has already said in a public meeting at the Confcooperative assembly, in which there was a heated polemical exchange with the mayor of Pistoia (and candidate of Fratelli d'Italia) Alessandro Tomasi . Following the regional electoral rules, Giani is not signing the formalization of the October 12 date now so as not to put the Tuscany Region in the position of being able to act only in ordinary administration.

Giani will wait to call the elections until the last possible day to do so, that is, the 50th day before the chosen date of October 12. From that moment on, the regional bodies will only be able to act in ordinary administration.
