Acf Arezzo, Andrea Benedetti introduces himself

Arezzo, 4 July 2025 – This morning, Friday 4 July 2025, at the “Il Caggio” field in Ceciliano, the new coach of the women’s first team, Andrea Benedetti, was officially presented.
Also present alongside the coach were President Massimo Anselmi, General Manager Roberto Cucciniello and Sports Director Giacomo Rossi. “This is an important occasion – declared President Anselmi – which marks the beginning of a new season and a technical evolution in line with the path undertaken in recent years.
Ours was a well-considered choice, aimed at giving continuity to the growth of the company through a figure that we believe is capable of best interpreting our values. Personally, I do not consider previous experience in women's football to be fundamental: we have already had excellent results with coaches making their debut in this field."
Words of support also from General Manager Cucciniello: "The new staff is mostly made up of Arezzo professionals, because we believe it is essential to maintain a strong bond with our territory. For Benedetti it is the first experience in the women's, but she brings with her important preparation and a human profile that convinced us right away."
The new Amaranth coach also took the floor: “I am very honored to be here – Benedetti began – and I thank the club for their trust. This is a role I have wanted for a long time: I have followed Arezzo's path closely and have prepared myself with great commitment to best face this challenge.
I will give it my all.” On the seasonal goals he added: “The minimum goal is to stabilize ourselves in the left part of the ranking, but without setting limits. It is an experience that stimulates me and from which I am sure I can also learn a lot.” On the differences between the two worlds he then underlined: “I expect technical, structural and physical differences compared to the men's, but I am not interested in making comparisons.
I want to continue with the same approach that has always guided me: balance and respect towards all the people who are part of the team.” The Sports Director Rossi closed the conference, reiterating the vision of the club: “The coaches change, but the philosophy of Arezzo remains the same: we want to do well by focusing on young players.
This year too we will welcome girls from top-level clubs such as Juventus and Roma.” With the start of the season now upon us, ACF Arezzo is ready to face the new adventure with enthusiasm and with a technical guide who is fully in tune with the club's values.
