Piero Colombini
Pisa, August 10 – Piero Colombini, a well-known and respected sports figure in the city, has passed away suddenly of a heart attack. Colombini served as President of the AICS – Italian Association of Culture and Sport of Pisa until 2009. For many years, he worked alongside his daughter Elisabetta, the association's secretary. They shared many years of life and work, but she always called him the President. A president dedicated to his work, passionate, and always attentive to his family, his association, his city, and his hometown of Pisa, of which he was a great fan. He leaves behind his family: his wife Liana, his daughter Elisabetta, his son Massimiliano, his sister Stella, and his nephew Matteo. Pisa has lost a good, serious, honest man, with a unique and rare integrity that he skillfully passed on to his children. The funeral will be held at the Church of San Giovanni and Santa Maria Assunta in Cascina on Tuesday, August 12, at 10:00 a.m.
