Bagnaia to Ducati: "I'm losing patience. I'm waiting for an explanation, but I know I won't get one."

Another weekend to forget for Pecco Bagnaia . In Austria, too, the Ducati rider was the protagonist of an unimpressive race, yet another in a season lacking in satisfaction for the Piedmontese rider, two-time premier class world champion. Starting from the front row, he finished in eighth place , far behind Marc Marquez , who is increasingly leading the championship and at ease on a Ducati that in the Spaniard's hands doesn't miss a beat. "Patience is running out," warns Pecco.

Bagnaia: "Things are happening that I can't understand."

After retiring in the sprint , Bagnaia expected a different race. But instead... "What happened? I'd like to know," he said hotly after the GP at the Red Bull Ring. "I've been struggling all season; things happen I can't understand. I've always been fast on this track, but today I lapped slowly, finishing 12 seconds slower than my time last year. It's hard to accept: the other riders do everything better than me. On Friday I was fine, I was lapping fast. Then in the race, you know what happened. This morning everything was going great again, the potential was there: but as soon as the race started, goodbye."

The bitterness of Bagnaia

It's hard to smile: "It's a very strange situation, I hope Ducati can explain it to me. Am I losing my patience? Yes," he tells Dazn Spain. A never-ending outburst: "I can't explain what's happening: I ran out of rear tire, I couldn't manage it anymore, and in the final lap I was going 2 seconds slower than the others. I know my potential, I know what I did until last year: I haven't forgotten how to win. I hope to have fun again, I hope to fight for wins again: but I know that won't happen. If nothing has happened since the beginning of the year, I don't see why things should change."
