Arezzo, August 18, 2025 – Two days to discover taekwondo. The Arezzo Taekwondo Center's 2025-2026 season will kick off with two free training sessions, starting at 5:00 PM on Monday, September 8th and Monday, September 15th. These open days will offer a chance to take your first steps on the mat and test your skills in the discipline of "flying kicks." The open days are hosted in the gym of the "Redi" High School, in the heart of the city, and are open to boys and girls between the ages of six and ten who wish to explore a sport that combines fun, coordination, and respect for the rules, under the guidance of federation-qualified instructors.
The two training sessions will be led by Master Andrea Rescigno, who in 2011 launched the Arezzo Taekwondo Center, which over the years has established itself at the regional and national levels thanks to its results and the technical qualities of its athletes. The athletic program begins with the introductory taekwondo school, which offers a fun-based approach through games, circuits, and exercises aimed at improving balance, speed, reactivity, dexterity, and concentration, laying a solid foundation for harmonious physical and character development. Technical training is supported by an education in the founding principles of this martial art: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, indomitable spirit, and self-control. The taekwondo school will then reach its peak with participation in its first competitions, competing against peers from the rest of Tuscany. This will lay the foundation for its entry into the competitive sector, which represents the true pride of the Arezzo Taekwondo Center, as recently demonstrated by Lorenzo Franchi's bronze medal victory at the Italian Junior and Senior Championships. "The open days," comments Master Rescigno, "will be an opportunity to introduce taekwondo to younger children in an atmosphere of play, friendship, and respect, free of charge and with no obligation. The goal is for boys and girls to have fun, develop a passion, and discover the values this discipline instills: determination, self-control, respect for others, and self-confidence. Our commitment is to offer a safe and inclusive environment where everyone can express their potential and grow first as a person and then as an athlete."
