Arezzo, August 23, 2025 – BSC Arezzo is ready to restart. The city's baseball and softball club, now celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, has begun the countdown to the 2025-2026 season , which will officially begin with practice on Monday, September 1st. The activities, hosted at the facility on Via Simone Martini, are aimed at boys born in 2018 or later. They will have a free month-long trial to discover the two sports played with bat and glove in a playful and educational environment characterized by fun, exercise, and team spirit.
Among the major innovations at BSC Arezzo is the expansion of courses to include the women's sector, aimed at reviving softball. The goal is to revitalize a sporting tradition deeply rooted in the local area, which, over the years, has seen the club play a leading role, including with players called up to the Italian national team and participating in the A2 league championships. The intention is, therefore, to return to supporting the men's baseball program, which ranges from the youth sector to the first Serie B team, with a parallel program also aimed at girls and young women, relying on a qualified coaching staff coordinated by manager Pierangelo Omarini and sporting director Alessandro Fois. These sports will be promoted throughout the year, including through special efforts in schools of various levels, providing an initial introduction to the sport through classroom projects, including exercises, mini-games, and demonstrations to experience the game. "We are thrilled," comments Mario Cavini, the new president of BSC Arezzo, "to once again open our doors to the city's children, offering them a unique experience of sport, fun, and personal growth. We want to instill passion, team values, and the joy of baseball and softball from an early age."
