Fiorentina, The Midnight Coup – New ideas for Kean's replacement. Everyone's lining up for Fortini.

Florence, August 12, 2025 – Fiorentina 's priorities for this transfer window have been defined for some time and remain clear in the management's minds. The primary objective is to find a replacement for Moise Kean , thus ensuring alternatives in attack, especially during the match. At the same time, the acquisition of a winger capable of providing breathing room for Dodo is being considered , and if a renewal with Rolando Mandragora isn't reached—even though both parties intend to continue together—a new midfielder could be added to the squad. However, beyond the acquisitions, there's a pressing issue: lowering the wage bill. To do so, Pradè and Goretti will need to sell several surplus players, a task that promises to be anything but simple. The contracts of Brekalo, Infantino, Barak, Ikoné, and Sabiri (the latter, despite playing in England, remains open to departure should offers arise) are weighing on the club's coffers, as is that of Lucas Beltrán, who is also on the market.

Among the players on the fence is Alessandro Bianco . The midfielder is strongly desired by Alberto Aquilani at Catanzaro , who has expressed his willingness to sign him even permanently. Bianco, coming off a good season at Monza (who would also take him back to Serie B), however, still dreams of a chance in Serie A. Since he doesn't occupy a slot in the league roster, Fiorentina could decide to keep him at least until January.

A similar story for Niccolò Fortini . The winger, recovering from an injury that slowed his preparation, is not yet in top form. Several teams have requested him on loan, but the most concrete option seems to be Empoli, managed by Guido Pagliuca, who had developed him at Juve Stabia. Cremonese (in Serie A), Palermo, Venezia, Monza, and Sampdoria have also been linked with him . Like Bianco, Fortini does not occupy a slot on the squad lists, and his possible departure could be postponed until January. Meanwhile, for the right-back position, Fiorentina is keeping open the possibility of Cagliari's Nadir Zortea , valued at €10 million: a reinforcement who would significantly raise the level of the flank.

The area with the most promise, however, remains the attack. Here, the club is seeking a young player who can act as Kean's deputy without requiring excessive investment. In addition to the already known names of Siwe and Shpendi , who have been followed for weeks, two new candidates have been added in the last few hours: Conrad Harder , born in 2005 and owned by Sporting Lisbon, whom Fiorentina would like to bring on loan, and Mirlind Daku , a 27-year-old Albanian striker from Rubin Kazan, valued at around €8 million.
