BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – A Serie A appetizer at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, where, a week into the season, Juventus defeated Atalanta 2-1 in the Bortolotti Trophy. The Bianconeri performed better in the first half, with Carnesecchi decisively denying Koopmeiners and then Yildiz, while Juric's team prevailed in the second half, at least until the 73rd minute when, following Thuram's cross from the right, Nico Gonzalez acted as a defender. Zappacosta deflected the ball, and David, his first Juventus goal, scored the winner, beating Hien. Four minutes later, after a central run by Joao Mario, substitute Vlahovic doubled the lead. In the 90th minute, Samardzic struck a superb goal that forced the Bianconeri defense to sit down, but it wasn't enough to prevent Atalanta from defeat. At the San Nicola stadium in Bari, Inter closed out their preseason with a 2-0 victory over Olympiacos. Chivu's team took the lead in the 16th minute: Thuram played the ball to Lautaro, who crossed the ball into the middle, where Dimarco made no mistake from close range. The Nerazzurri captain nearly doubled the lead in the 34th minute and again at the start of the second half, but the 2-0 lead was only postponed when Thuram pounced on the Greek goalkeeper's rebound from Dumfries' shot in the 54th minute and scored. The two Roman teams also played. Lazio defeated Atromitos in their final summer friendly before the start of competitive fixtures. At the Stadio Manlio Scopigno in Rieti, the match ended 2-0 for Maurizio Sarri's men: goals from substitute Noslin in the 76th minute with a header and from Pedro in the 90th minute following a team-building move proved decisive. Castellanos was sent off. Roma, however, drew 2-2 against Neom in their final pre-season friendly, played at the Stirpe Stadium in Frosinone. The Giallorossi broke the deadlock in the 25th minute through Cristante, following an Angelino cross that resulted in a goalkeeper error. Dybala (returning to action after nearly a month) then lost a crucial ball, Bouabre led the counterattack and played Benhrama, who made no mistake when one-on-one with Svilar. Roma regained the lead in the 32nd minute following another move from a winger: Rensch crossed from the right, which Soulè connected with and beat the opposing goalkeeper with a left-footed shot. However, for the second time, Gasperini's team was punished on the counterattack. Credit goes to Abdi, who in the 38th minute surprised Svilar with a fine right-footed strike after beating Ndicka and Rensch. Bologna ultimately lost, losing 4-2 to OFI Crete at the Dall'Ara. After Orsolini's lead in the 10th minute, the Greeks turned the tables at the start of the second half through Fountas and Theodosoulakis, Odgaard equalized in the 54th minute but Fountas (73rd minute), this time from a penalty, and Salcedo (92nd minute) gave OFI the victory. – photo Ipa Agency – (ITALPRESS).
