Liverpool are not prepared to sell Federico Chiesa unless Alexander Isak arrives from Newcastle United, claim reports, leaving Inter and Napoli waiting.
The Italy international had seemed to be on the way out just one year after his move to Anfield Road with the Juventus contract running down.
He barely set foot on the field throughout his first season, either due to injuries or poor form, yet still scoring two goals with two assists in 14 competitive appearances.

When he was left out of the traveling party for the pre-season friendly games, it was assumed he would be loaned out or sold.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport now insists that Arne Slot wants to keep Chiesa, at least until they sign a new striker, with the primary target being Newcastle United star Isak.
Inter and Napoli remain interested in the 27-year-old, while Atalanta had also been linked , but any move is going to have to wait.
