Michel Platini 's home in Cassis, near the Bouches-du-Rhône region, has been burgled. The former Juventus star and UEFA president was at home when the incident occurred when he was awakened at dawn by noises coming from the garden.

Platini scares away the thieves, but 20 trophies are stolen anyway

Platini managed to scare off the thieves, who nevertheless made off with around twenty sports trophies. The total amount of damage has not yet been determined, and the Marseille prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into aggravated burglary.
