Ponte Buggianese Unity Festival Trophy, photos and winners

Ponte Buggianese (Pistoia), 8 July 2025 – Over 200 runners took part in the seventh edition of the Ponte Buggianese Festa dell'Unità Trophy, a 7.7 km competitive running race organized with the technical support of the Montecatini Marathon and the patronage of the Municipality of Ponte Buggianese. As already successfully tested on other occasions, the combination of sport and conviviality once again demonstrated its attractive force: the possibility for athletes to stop for dinner at the festival's food stands helped create an atmosphere of great participation and joy, making the event not just a race but a true community evening. The timing service was handled by the UISP Judges of Prato and Pistoia, while the photographic coverage was entrusted to the ETS "Regalami un sorriso" association.
The rankingsThe winner of the race is the athlete of the Montecatini Marathon Giuseppe Massaro who completes the distance in 26'21'' and is 22'' ahead of Marco Pallini (Atletica Porcari) and 27'' ahead of Mirko Tondini (Silvano Fedi Pistoia), David Galatolo (Atletica Amaranto Livorno) comes in fourth and Sandro Lorenzini (Atletica Borgo a Buggiano) comes in fifth.
In the veterans, first place went to Igor Marracci (Orecchiella Garfagnana) in 28'07, second place to Emil Lazzari (Atletica Borgo a Buggiano) and third to Maurizio Bozzi (Atletica Montecatini). First place went to Marco Osimanti from Lucca (Gruppo Podistico Parco Alpi Apuane) in the veterans silver who finished the race in 30'48'', followed by Roberto Marcantelli (Montecatini Marathon) and Massimo Parlanti (Atletica Montecatini). In the veterans gold the best was Rinaldo Bolognesi (Atletica Vinci) who obtained the final time of 33'28'', followed by Mauro Giorgetti (Gruppo Sportivo Camigliano Lucca) and Sergio Gelli (Silvano Fedi Pistoia).
The Florentine Nina Gulino (Atletica Castello Firenze) won the women's category in 30'46'', followed by Chiara Ghiselli (Montecatini Marathon) at 1'53'' and Elisa Dami (Atletica Vinci) at 3'03'', fourth Linda Orsi (Firenze Triathlon), fifth Anna Angelini (Orecchiella Garfagnana).
In the veterans category, Michela Francione (Atletica Castello) wins in 34'03'', followed in order by Albana Balku (La Fontanina Prato) and Gianfranca Secci (Orecchiella Garfaganana). Another representative of the Gruppo Sportivo Orecchiella Garfagnana in the women's silver medal is Roberta Pieroni who finishes in 34'34'', second place goes to Maricica Lucaci (Atletica Vinci) and third place to Anna Marini (Runcard)
