Soccer. Excellence: Mr. Sena's Cenaia ready to impress.

Pisa, July 23, 2025 – Cenaia is back with renewed enthusiasm for the 2025/26 Eccellenza season. This year, Coach Nicola Sena's team will face teams with great tradition and prestige. The club is actively on the transfer market and is making moves with Alessio Pardini, who has returned to Cenaia after stints at San Miniato and Fucecchio. Captain Giacomo Signorini, vice-captain Matteo Rossi, and Daniele Puleo have been confirmed: three players who bring tradition, professionalism, reliability, and consistency to the team. Nico Quilici, born in 1996, and Matteo Cocucci, born in 2006, remain in midfield. Francesco Neri will be in the attacking lineup.

But let's get to the new arrivals. The first announcement was Giorgio Bettarini , a goalkeeper born in 2003 who grew up with Livorno and played in the Eccellenza division last season with Pro Livorno Sorgenti. Also arriving from Pro Livorno is Alberto Lischi, a solid and well-rounded defender. The third newcomer also arrives from Pro Livorno Sorgenti: Giorgio Cavalli , a defender born in 2000, formerly of Pontedera, Lucchese, Pistoiese, and Vis Pesaro. The Livorno poker is completed by Leonardo Santagata , a midfielder born in 2002, who has scored six goals in recent seasons.

From Forte dei Marmi comes the strong striker Alessandro Maggi , born in 2002, who has scored nearly thirty goals in the last two seasons. A true striker. In the same department comes Radouan Boumarouan , born in 1998, from Certaldo: a forward who can play various positions. And from Fezzanese comes Filippo Remedi , born in 2005. For the midfield, comes Gianmarco Cito , twenty-seven years old, over one hundred appearances in Serie D. In the same department, the club has signed Stefano Provinzano, born in 2004, formerly of Tivoli and Ponte Buggianese.

And it was Cenaia that secured the services of one of the best prospects around, sought after by many clubs, including Serie D: Matteo Arcidiacono , a left winger born in 2007. Another 2007 prospect arrives from Empoli: Raffaele Colombani , a solid defender. On the outside, coach Sena will also be able to count on Tommaso Fischer, born in 2003, who played in Ponsacco last season after his experience with Sanremese.
