Trump suggests buying Argentine beef: "I can help them survive in a free world."

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested Sunday that his country will buy beef from Argentina in an attempt to curb inflation and reduce the high prices of this product in the United States.
"We could buy some meat from Argentina. If we did, prices would go down," the president told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Washington, adding that doing so would help Argentina, a country he considers a "very good ally."
Trump announced Friday that his administration was working on an agreement to reduce beef prices, which have risen to record levels in his country due to the reduction of herds caused by droughts in the West.
These statements come after Trump met with his Argentine counterpart, Javier Milei, at the White House on Tuesday to discuss the financial aid the United States provided to Argentina with a twenty billion dollar credit line to strengthen the peso.
At the meeting, Trump expressed his full support for Milei , while making the future of the financial aid conditional on the ultra-libertarian leader and his La Libertad Avanza party continuing to govern.
"(Argentina) has no money, they have nothing , they're struggling to survive, if I can help them survive in a free world... The president of Argentina is doing the best he can, but they're dying," Trump said Sunday about his support for that country.
