Dreamfields says goodbye to Guadalajara and moves to Puebla

After five editions held in Guadalajara, the electronic music festival Dreamfields México is leaving its original venue to begin a new chapter in Puebla. The move, which had been the subject of speculation for months, was officially confirmed through a promotional video on the festival's social media, announcing that the sixth edition will take place on November 15 and 16, 2025, in the historic district of Los Fuertes.
The announcement was accompanied by a video that combines images from previous editions in Guadalajara with iconic shots of the state of Puebla: the Pyramid of Cholula, the Cathedral, Sendela Park, and the Estrella de Puebla were some of the locations chosen to illustrate the festival's new direction.
We recommend: Coque Muñiz: What is his health status after being hospitalized?“In times of despair, the world needs hope, love, and unity. We evolve through the grace of kindness, vision , inspiration, and understanding,” the video narration says, accompanied by immersive visual editing. “Through the power of imagination, the pursuit of our dreams, and the beauty within reality, together we escape the ordinary and enter Dreamfields Festival.”
Although the specific reasons for the move have not been disclosed, the message points to an intention to evolve, creatively renew, and expand the spirit that has characterized the festival since its debut in Mexico in 2018.
Public reaction has been mixed. While some celebrate the inclusion of a city like Puebla, with its cultural richness and growing infrastructure, others lament the departure of the festival from Jalisco, an organization that for five years hosted thousands of attendees from across the country and abroad.
For five unforgettable years, we've shared laughter, magic, and unity as one family. What began as a dream has become our reality.
As we begin our sixth chapter of #DreamfieldsMexico we open the gates to a new and enchanting home: Puebla.
