Zonda wind alert this Thursday in Mendoza: what areas will be affected and how high the maximum will be

After several days of pleasant weather in the province, the Zonda wind will be felt this Thursday in the plains and mountainous areas. The weather forecast indicates a high of 25°C and a low of 6°C.
In this context, the National Meteorological Service issued a yellow alert for zonda winds affecting the entire province of Mendoza. "The area will be affected by winds from the west with speeds between 50 and 75 km/h (31 and 45 mph), with gusts that could exceed 100 km/h (62 mph), especially at higher altitudes."

In addition, the agency issued a yellow alert for snowfall in the mountain range. Due to this situation, the Cristo Redentor Pass is expected to remain closed in both directions.
A drastic change in the weather is expected on Friday due to the arrival of a cold front that will significantly drop temperatures. Isolated showers and moderate snowfall are also expected in the mountains. The high will be 14°C and the low 8°C.
Meanwhile, a similar day is expected on Saturday, with little change in temperature and improvements in the mountainous areas. The high will reach 15°C and the low will be 5°C.
The weather is expected to improve on Sunday, with rising temperatures and light northeasterly winds. The high will be 19°C and the low 3°C.
