This Tuesday, the Mexican peso started the session weakly, registering a slight depreciation against the US dollar .

The financial newspaper Bloomberg indicates that The Mexican peso has fallen by 0.22% compared to last Monday's closing.

The exchange rate is quoted at 19.69 pesos per dollar at wholesale today, very close to 20 pesos.

The outlet, citing the Monex group, indicates that the Mexican peso is being affected today by the weak local gross fixed investment report, in addition to the continued international trade tensions, which are causing less investor confidence in the Mexican peso.

Bloomberg reports that among the currencies it tracks, the Mexican peso is the fourth-largest loser; the Taiwanese dollar is the hardest hit, while the Swedish krona is the biggest gainer at the start of trading in the current session.

  • Banco Azteca buys at 18.80 and sells at 20.15
  • BBVA Bancomer buys at 18.83 and sells at 18.97
  • Banorte buys at 18.50 and sells at 20.00
  • Citibanamex buys at 19.07 and sells at 20.16
  • Scotiabank buys at 17.00 and sells at 22.00

The Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) indicates that The exchange rate for the US dollar for this session, Tuesday, May 6, is 19.6570 Mexican pesos.
