Progresar Scholarships: last week of registration and eligibility requirements

The deadline for registration for the Progresar Obligatorio Scholarships , the program that provides financial support to primary and secondary school students across the country, will be September 1, 2025.

Registration is only available through the official Progresar Scholarship website with an active account on Mi Argentina . Those who apply for this application will receive up to six installments, with no retroactive benefits for the first semester.

The Ministry of Education stated: " Students interested in applying for the Progresar Scholarship must be native or naturalized Argentines , or foreigners with at least two years of legal residence in the country. A National Identity Document (DNI) is required in all cases."

They also explained that enrollment is open to young people between the ages of 16 and 24 , provided their personal and family income does not exceed three times the minimum wage , equivalent to $966,000 in August 2025.

They also emphasized that applicants must demonstrate regular student status at an educational institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, participate in the complementary activities required by the program, and have a complete or ongoing vaccination schedule .

The Ministry of Human Capital confirmed that the Progresar Scholarship amount remains at $35,000 per month . However, ANSES applies a 20% withholding during the first year for higher education students . This percentage is released once it is verified that the beneficiary meets the academic requirements and is making regular progress in their education.

"The measure seeks to guarantee the continuity of studies and prevent dropouts," they stated. They also noted that the program complements financial aid with academic support and mandatory activities , which are key to maintaining student retention in the education system.

The Ministry of Human Capital clarified that registration is exclusively online. The steps are:

1. Visit the official Progresar Scholarships website.

2. Log in with an active Mi Argentina user.

3. Complete the registration form with your personal and academic information.

4. Declare a CBU or CVU in the student's name.

5. Confirm and submit the application.

University and non-university higher education degrees will be available in the Mi Argentina app.

Important: " Registration cannot be done at ANSES offices or through any other means," the national ministry emphasized.

Regarding deadlines, the mandatory level line will remain open until September 1, 2025 , while Progresar Superior and Nursing will remain open until September 5. Finally, Progresar Trabajo will remain open until November 30, 2025 , for those taking courses endorsed by INET and CoNETyP .

The requirements include: being a native Argentine or having legally resided for at least five years, having a valid DNI , meeting the age ranges (17 to 24 years for new entrants, up to 30 years for advanced students and no limit for Nursing), that the family group does not exceed three minimum living and mobile salaries ($966,000 in August 2025), accrediting a secondary school diploma without pending subjects, being enrolled in recognized institutions and having an updated vaccination schedule .
