Absolute sadness: an Argentinos Juniors fan died in the stands during the match against Instituto.

Argentinos Juniors defeated Instituto de Córdoba 3-1 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in La Paternal in the round of 16 of the Professional League's Apertura Tournament and will face San Lorenzo at home in the quarterfinals.

The goals in the match were scored by Tomás Molina, José Herrera, and Ismael Sosa , while Gonzalo Requena scored the goal. It must be said that while the match was in progress, a sad incident occurred in one of the stands.

This Sunday, an Argentinos Juniors fan died after collapsing in one of the stands at La Paternal stadium. The 54-year-old man, identified as José Rodolfo Fontela , died. Authorities are trying to determine whether the death was natural or if he had previously fallen and suffered an injury.

So far, the sad incident is being considered a "suspicious death." According to the police report, the fan collapsed inside the stadium , near gate 2, located at the intersection of Álvarez Jonte and Boyacá avenues. Upon arrival, SAME personnel confirmed his death.
