Ángel Correa stands out in his debut with Tigres

Ángel Correa and the Tigres kicked off their participation in the 2025 Apertura Tournament with a 1-0 victory against the Juárez Braves.

After 82 minutes on the pitch, Tigres coach Guido Pizarro removed the former Atlético de Madrid player from the field and praised his compatriot's performance in his Liga MX debut.

"It was a good match. I think we played well and better than our opponent. Ángel's performance is noteworthy. He's only been here a few days and showed from day one that he wanted to play. I think he did very well," Pizarro said at the end of the match.
