Boca Juniors won a very tight seventh game against Instituto and was crowned two-time champion of the National Basketball League.

Boca Juniors is the two-time champion of the National Basketball League . They achieved this after defeating Instituto de Córdoba 78-77 in the seventh and final game of the final series, played in a packed Bombonerita stadium. The La Ribera club, led by coach Gonzalo Pérez, thus tied Peñarol de Mar del Plata and San Lorenzo with five titles in the competition's history, behind only Atenas de Córdoba, which scored nine times.
There was a big celebration at La Bombonerita. The National Basketball League season was concluded there, and Boca Juniors, the home team, claimed two-time champion status. Nothing was easy for the very good team coached by Gonzalo Pérez. They faced a brave Instituto de Córdoba, led by Lucas Victoriano, who stretched the final series to the limit. So much so that the seventh game was decided by just one point and with suspense until the last second.
It was a tight 78-77 for the La Ribera club , which thus tied the line of Peñarol de Mar del Plata and San Lorenzo with five titles in the history of the competition, only behind the giant Atenas de Córdoba who have nine trophies in their showcase.

José Vildoza , who finished the night with 17 points and three steals, was chosen as the Finals MVP. A repeat of his success. He had already won last season, when Boca Juniors also defeated Instituto in the final. “We always lived up to our club standards. We were the best of the season. We sacrificed a lot and played a fantastic Final,” said the 29-year-old point guard from Córdoba, who became only the second player in history to win his first five LNB Finals appearances.
The match was an emotional roller coaster. Boca Juniors almost always led , but whenever they broke away, Instituto would react and close the gap. They even took the lead at the start of the second half, scoring an 8-0 run in the opening minutes. However, the home side recovered in time, and they reached the final minute tied at 75.
Santiago Scala sank a vital three-pointer with 10 seconds left , and Alex Negrete scored with a double. Colombian Andrés Ibarguen had two free throws to calm the score, but missed both. It was of no consequence because the visitors, without timeouts, failed to get a shot off before the buzzer sounded.
That's how the party started. And so did the venting. " We ate a lot of crap from people who don't understand anything. We have to appreciate this Boca Juniors thing . We won every national tournament we played, including the final of the Americas. And the idiots said Boca should have won the final 4-0. We didn't win 4-0 because Instituto is a tremendous team," bellowed an enraged Gonzalo Pérez, who became the first debuting coach to play and win two consecutive finals in the history of the National League.
